Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the YoungArcHers website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix by end March 2025. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Some known critical limitations for the YoungArcHers website:

  1. Cookies: We are aware of some issues with this element: keyboard accessibility, element that hide contents when using a zoom, open/close element not structured, checkbox not keyboard accessible and with unseen contrast when unchecked.
  2. Links and buttons: Some links and buttons do not have any title
  3. Images: Presence of decorative images rendered by assistive technologies
  4. Logos: Links on logos are not enough explicit. They should clearly indicate the link destination.
  5. Bypassing blocks: Headings and landmarks are not fully properly used, which impacts on their usage to access specific parts of the page and understand the overall content structure with a screen reader.
  6.  Heading Hierarchy: Some pages do not present content in an hierarchical heading organization.
  7. Layout problems with a reduced screen (mobile) or zoom: some contents are not visible; audio controls and texts are difficult to read.
  8. Tabulation order: not consistent in the Cookies dialog modal when focus goes behind
  9.  reCAPTCHA error message: Error message is not associated with the field
  10.  Navigation menu accessibility: Some content has not been properly coded for the best experience with a screen reader. Keyboard navigation issue: focus goes in the submenu which is not visible
  11. Tabs and open/close system: not properly coded for an easy navigation and a good rendering with assistive technologies.
  12. Contrast: Some contents are not contrasted enough against their background.
