It was built in 1914 and for 80 years it served as the home of the Typaldos family from Kefalonia. In one of its rooms old books are kept that belonged to the very rich library of the family.

The famous writer M. Karagatsis lived in this building for many years. During the German occupation, writers and artists used to meet here. In the period 1960-1980 the building housed a clinic.
